Why this course?
This workshop provides a practical, step-by-step introduction to various regression techniques used in health and social science research. Participants will learn how to apply and interpret Simple Linear, Multiple Linear, Logistic (Binomial, Multinomial, Ordinal), and Poisson Regression models using real datasets. Designed for early-career researchers and students, this workshop focuses on building confidence in using regression for prediction and explanation.
This course is focused on teaching essential methods used in analyzing time-to-event data and evaluating diagnostic accuracy. Key topics include Kaplan-Meier survival curves, Life Table analysis, and the Proportional Hazards Model. The workshop also covers ROC analysis for both diagnostic tests and logistic models, helping participants assess model performance and test validity with confidence.
